Job Description:
You will ensure the profitability & growth of The Group Own Retail Business, which currently consist of 42 Mono brand stores. We have an aggressive plan to open 30-40 new shops in calendar year 2008, and by end of 2009 to cross 100 own shops.
Jointly working with President and other directors of the group, you will be responsible to evolve our retail operations strategy.
Timely execution of Company Strategy, right assortment planning, effective inventory management and a high level of customer service are the core tasks in this role.
You should be good at hands on operations when the situation requires and be able to delegate well other wise.
Having worked in a clothing / footwear / sportswear industry in a similar capacity is essential and having managed aggressive growth is as crucial.
You are expected to great on people skills and relationships and with a sound commercial mind.
Main responsibilities:
Study the current assortment planning and adjust/improve the same in order to generate a higher sales/m2
Increase co-efficient between rent and Sales
Improve Conversion rage (ratio of buying customer over footfall/visitors)
Increase the %age of sales at full price, through better inventory management & improved purchasing systems
Improve inventory turnaround for the retail operations
Achieve a high level of customer service comparable to the west, through improved recruitment process and constant employee training.
Motivate the shop team and retail office team to ensure business objectives are met.
Be able to create new & effective reports/systems for achieving operational efficiency
Ensure timely introduction of new season products, promo’s etc.
To work closely with Retail Expansion/Development team to ensure smooth handover.
To professionalize current back office team to achieve the desired objectives, to separate teams for each retail format (there are several brand names)
You will report to the President of the company, and direct lead a current team of 10-12 retail back office staff, plus area managers, and indirectly over 40 shop managers, and 500 shop employees at the present moment.
